Our main write-up on Supergroup last month proved well-timed with the shares soaring 160p on the back of a better than expected trading update. Total group sales rose 66% to £54m, of which retail sales increased 51% to £34m (versus plus 48% after 10 weeks) and wholesale sales increased 98% to £21m, compared with plus 75% after 10 weeks. Helped by cooler UK weather Supergroup's new autumn / winter range, which includes women's knitwear, jackets and accessories, has sold well while the expansion program is on track with another four UK stores and 10 international outlets opening in the period.
