Shares in Senior, which we first tipped at 181p in February '12 and a couple more times since, have sailed away to a new high of 289p, following interims ahead of expectations and triggered an upgrade to forecasts. For the six months to 30 June group revenue increased 6% to £400m while pretax profit increased 6% to £48.3m. Eps rose 8.6% to 9.3p, helped by a lower tax rate.  Senior's aerospace division, whose products include engine structures and mountings and airframe parts, grew revenues 3% to £254m, with operating profit virtually unchanged at £6.8m due to one-off costs related to a factory relocation and investment in new programs.
