The shares leapt to a new high as Cineworld’s interims came in ahead of forecast. Adjusted pretax profit rose 74% to £39.3m with eps increasing 45% for the six months ending 2 July and it would have been even better but for the strong pound.Revenues increased almost 23% to £329m, with box office takings rising 21% to £217m, admissions jumping 25% to £345m and retail increasing 24% to £76.5m.
