The shares inched to a new high of 1730p after Cranswick, the supplier of premium pork-based meats, unveiled an 8% year-on-year increase in revenue in the three months ended 30 June driven by strong volume growth across most product categories. This included a first contribution from Benson Park, acquired last October. Underlying sales growth was 4%, compared with 7% volume growth, reflecting lower pig prices being passed on to its customers. Net debt fell £21m to just £12m while borrowing headroom of £120m leaves decent ammunition for further acquisitions.Broker Investec has left eps forecasts unchanged with 95.1p expected in the year to next March, rising to 99.9p and 106p in ‘17 and ’18.With c ...
