With the UK government increasing the value of public sector contracts tendered by 50% to £26.3bn in the first half of August it’s clear that Theresa May’s government is not just going to sit back and rely on more QE by the Bank of England. We think there’s a decent chance some of this largesse will filter through to old TMI favourite, Hill & Smith, which makes infrastructure products such as crash barriers and lighting columns for major road networks and also has a highly profitable galvanising business.
