The shares soared to a new high of £6 after IG Design unveiled the acquisition of US firm Impact Innovations for £56.5m on a cash and debt free basis, representing an EBITDA multiple of 4.9x, subject to working capital adjustment. In conjunction with this IG has raised up to £50m through a placing of new shares at 510p. The deal, by far its largest, will see IG become the largest gift packaging supplier in the world.Impact is a leading supplier of gift wrap and seasonal décor to the USA with key customers including Walmart, Shopko, Target and Kroger.
