With consumers locked down in their homes for several months, one of the few available activities has been spending more time browsing on computers and that drove a spike in business for Avast, which provides cybersecurity and privacy products. Its latest guidance was that, “first half performance underpins a strong full year outlook….organic growth is expected to be at the upper end of previously stated mid-single digit percentage range.”In the six months to 30 June, adjusted billings (cash receipts from subscriptions) rose 9.2% year-on-year to US$466m, while adjusted revenues grew 6.6% to US$433m.
