Wembley, which derives nearly 90% of its profit from high-tech one-arm bandits in the US,  has been one of the most volatile stocks we have covered, with the shares gyrating between 507p and 701p since our main recommendation in March.  This volatility reflects the fact that Wembley enjoys huge potential opportunities, but these are offset by equally large threats, none of which were resolved at Wembley's interim results, for the six months to 30 June.  Those results showed a decline in  operating profit from £20m to £18m, mainly because of a significant strengthening in Sterling against the Dollar.   Wembley's big opportunities include aforthcoming extension to its one arm bandit operation, known as v ...
