Shares in Aquarius Platinum, which has several mining interests in South Africa, have enjoyed a strong run of late with investors noting that its production levels have not only hit a new record, but are expected to double again over the next two years. The timing simply couldn’t be better given that the platinum price, like many commodities, has enjoyed a fantastic run, climbing more than 160% to US$915 an ounce in the last six years.
