Shares in escrow agent NCC have moved smoothly to a new high and are now up 81p since last November’s recommendation. The catalyst was excellent results for the year ending 31 May with pretax profit rising 143% to £3.4m, from a 24% increase in turnover to £18m, while earnings were up 22% to 12.6p. NCC’s largest division, Escrow Solutions, which protects a client by holding business critical source code as insurance in case its software provider goes bust, enjoyed a 23% increase in turnover to £8.2m, with operating profit rising 32% to £5m.
