Zetar’s results for the period from incorporation on 8 December 2004 to 30 April 2005 are of little relevance, given that its first acquisition of chocolate confectionery firm Kinnerton only completed two weeks before the period end. Nevertheless, Zetar has published Kinnerton’s trading figures for the year ending 30 April, which are in line with expectations and reflect a strong underlying performance. Sales increased 19% to £50.1m, with pro-forma operating profit before non-recurring items being £4.5m. This performance has triggered the first tranche of the deferred consideration for Kinnerton of £2.45m which will be paid prior to the end of December.
