Last month’s tip, Jarvis Securities, which provides execution only stockbroking and outsourced financial administration services, has released a stunning set of results, sending the shares back towards their highs. For the six months to 30 June, pretax profit rose 71% to £1.2m on turnover ahead by 30% at £2.2m, which means pretax margins soared from 34% to a remarkable 55%. Eps increased 73% to 7.75p, while the company declared an interim dividend of 4p. Jarvis also impressed with its level of disclosure and produced a comprehensive list of key performance indicators as well as its targets, most of which it beat.
