In a sign of management’s increasing ambition, online polling and market research firm YouGov has announced three major acquisitions for a total consideration of £33m including debt. These will be funded through a £27m placing of nearly 19.3m new shares at 140p. Largest of the three is Psychonomics AG, a German market research and consulting agency, for an initial Eu20.75m (£14m), which focuses on the insurance, financial services and healthcare sectors. Its latest results showed pretax profit growing 48% to Eu1.1m on turnover up 32% to Eu13.6m and YouGov believes it will be eps enhancing in its first full year following completion.
