Domino's Pizza (FT sector: Travel & Leisure), which is the master franchisee in the UK and Ireland for the world's leading pizza delivery brand, is a company very much in the right place at the right time. The twin evils of the credit crunch and soaring inflation has persuaded many consumers to cut down on luxuries such as eating out but interestingly they are finding another way to banish the blues by eating Domino's Pizzas in the home. This is borne out by its latest trading figures showing like-for-like sales growing 11.4% in the 26 weeks to 29 June, which has led to brokers upgrading their forecasts for the full year.
