Although shares in financial spread betting firm IG have been under pressure, investors have forgotten that it makes good money in periods when markets are volatile and this was confirmed by another positive trading update that accompanied its final results.  For the year to 31 May revenue rose 51% to £184m, while pretax profit rose 41% to £97m. Eps were up 41% to 20.3p. However, what brought most joy was the news that IG reported another record month for revenue in June, beating the previous record set in April.
