Readers could be forgiven for thinking that trading has collapsed given the weak share price in five-a-side football operator Powerleague but its pre-close update covering the year to 28 June instead noted that trading is running in line with management expectations. Final results are now expected to be unveiled on 2 October. The period has seen the successful integration of the former JJB Sports soccerdome football centres, while the group has also opened four new centres in Cardiff, Old Street in London, Milton Keynes and Shrewsbury, all of which have performed well since opening.
