Tarsus again showed evidence of a gentle recovery with the seasonally quieter first half showing revenues growing 17% to £16.9m, while pretax profit increased 22% to £1.1m. Organic revenue growth was 7% with visitor numbers continuing to improve. Meanwhile, net debt rose just over £1m to £31.9m, but is well within its revised banking facilities of £40m, which have just been extended to the end of 2013. On a divisional basis the US increased profits before central costs by 36% to £1.9m, with its leading Off-Price (discount clothing) exhibitions seeing revenues well up on the previous year.
