Our decision to add a second holding of N Brown to the TMI Trader portfolio looks well-timed, with the shares shooting higher to a new high of 541p. The catalyst was an acceleration in sales growth in the last ten weeks, which meant that group revenue increased 7.8% on a like-for-like basis for the 17 weeks to 29 June. Contributions to this have come from all its major brands, product groups and channels, including online, stores and international. The key sector, ladies wear, which had such a torrid time in last year's first half due to the terrible summer, has recovered as the sun shone this time, while there was strong growth in menswear and footwear.
