The shares soared after Energy Assets announced a contract win with British Gas Business to install its advanced meters across 50% of its I&C portfolio in the UK; the other 50% incidentally is going to its rival Smart Metering Systems, 410p another TMI main write-up, which has enjoyed handsome gains.The BGB meters will have a 20-year contracted term with RPI price adjustment and Numis believes its overall I&C portfolio is c. 100-120,000 meters, implying up to 60,000 for Energy Assets. Numis believes the incremental boost to its run rate would be 8-10,000 meters a year over existing growth of 21,000. With £45m of un-used borrowing headroom, the balance sheet can support this.
