Supergroup - Shares close in on £15

Supergroup, a TMI NAP for 2015 at 904p, has performed superbly, hitting a new high of 1515p over the month.The catalyst was better-than-expected like-for-like sales growth in the first few weeks of this year and a new joint venture with Trendy, a listed Chinese retail business, which operates 3,000 stores under nine brands. Under the agreement the two parties will each invest £9m to fund new store openings in China and it should be self-funding within two years. Management are clearly excited, noting that China is forecast to overtake the US as the largest apparel and footwear market in the world.Results themselves showed a 2% rise in eps and pretax profit to 59.1p and £63.2m respectively.
