Housebuilder, Bovis, issued a trading update ahead of reporting interim results on 6th September which noted it achieved 1,580 completions (2017: 1,512) slightly ahead of expectations and a 4% year on year increase. Of this 1,030 (2017: 1,140) were private units and 550 (2017: 372) were affordable. Private average selling prices were c.£350,000 (2017: £334,700). Its sales rate was up 8% to 0.52 per site per week while it opened 17 new sites in H1 and expects to add another six next quarter. This underpins its confidence of meeting full year expectations for 3,775 completions.Bovis has good visibility on its land supply with 98% of units for 2019 secured of which 92% have detailed planning in place.The balance shee ...
