Plus500, the leading technology platform for trading contracts for difference, has shrugged off its previous problem of clients winning too much, with its latest update stating revenues for the six months ended 30th June increased 281% to US$564m with Q2 alone generating US$247.6m, an increase of 162% year-on-year. Importantly the period end position of customer trading reverted to insignificant historical levels. The performance was aided by “heightened volatility,” which drove a consistently high level of customer trading activity. In addition it onboarded 198,176 customers in H1 ’20 (H1 2019: 47,540) at an attractive cost, which ensured a record number of active customers trading on its platform.  ...
