A pleasant month for TP2, which leapt 3.9% as shares reverted to risk-on in light of a rate cut and expectations of a second cut in November. Expectations are also that the US Federal Reserve will do the same in September.   Even news that Labour will award a pay rise three times the rate of inflation to millions of public sector workers, potentially fuelling a wage price spiral across the country’s workforce and reducing the magnitude of future rate cuts, could have positive implications for investors.
